Training for Adults

Start slowly and safely! As a beginning adult student, you will be taught privately until the instructor is confident that you are ready to join the Basic Training group lessons. Our professionally trained instructors will teach you at the pace appropriate for your age, health, strength, flexibility, coordination and conditioning level.

Basic Training Program

Adults will build a foundation of strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, conditioning and self defense. Stress relief, mental clarity and increased focus are just a few of the many benefits that will be experienced in this 6 month program. Our balanced training approach starts each class with the “five element stretch” to warm up muscles and raise mental focus. The warm up and conditioning section of class is structured to allow students of varied fitness levels to safely progress. Exercises for strengthening the stomach and back muscles are followed by additional relaxed stretching. Each lesson finishes with learning and practicing martial arts foundation skills and self defense applications. Adults that register for the Basic Training program are tutored privately as preparation for the group classes.
